Michael, I must be a nutter to even follow this thread as I never go. However given that I am, and the upset you must have felt last month when almost everyone bailed, read back and several people said they were coming to this one.

You are not on your own.

So Brum, Sheila and the very naughty Mum, where are you?

Thanks Alan.

Clearly people shouldnt feel obliged to come. So, perhaps there is a need to give CC a bit of a rest and a re-boot?

Perhaps move the time to the first week of the month (post payday for most) and on a set day of the week. Then people will at least know that curry club will be on say, the first Wednesday of every month.

An elite group of the Curry Clubs finest invaded Berlin last weekend.

A jolly time has by all, much mooching about, flea markets perused, East Berlin explored (mostly like Croydon).

On Friday night we dined at the Meena Kumari restaurant. Over the years I have tried a number of Berlin curry establishments and have always been disappointed. In These other restaurants food is adapted to German taste which tends to favour cream over spices.

Meena Kumari was a revelation. Good spicy food with sauces made in the kitchen. A full range of German beer is available plus bottled Kingfisher (the beer, not the bird).

The food is served German style. Mains course is served with rice, no vegetable side dishes, but veggie main courses are available. A fair range of starters and spicy popadoms tempt the taste buds.

It is situated in Prenzlauer Berg.

    • John recently skimmed the walls in our front room lounge, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. From start to finish, he was professional, punctual, and easy to work with.   He arrived on time each day and kept me updated on progress, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The quality of his plastering is smooth, even, and ready to paint with minimal prep. He takes real pride in his work.   John was also very tidy, laying down protective sheets and cleaning up thoroughly after the job was done. It’s clear he respects his clients’ homes, which I really appreciated.   On top of that, he’s friendly, approachable, and trustworthy someone you feel comfortable having in your home. His pricing was fair and transparent, with no unexpected costs.   Highly recommended if you're looking for a skilled and reliable plasterer. I’ll definitely be using him again for any future work.
    • You what???   Think you Should have gone to woodfalls 😁
    • Your second point contradicts your first (and previous post)
    • I'm guessing they're busy. I found out just now that the SNT has tracked down the kids who attacked my dog, had strong words with their parents, and the gang has now broken up. I got a lot of detail, which I won't go into here, but it sounds as if they were also quite compassionate towards some of the kids, some of whom may not have had the easiest of lives.  I know that those kids had nothing to do with the attack of the man in August and that they are also aware of the fireworks problem. Sounds like good community policing.
