Curry clubbers, a question for you. What's the Curry Cabin's shatrika (sp?) chicken like? I love the Mirash's achari chicken with its lime pickle sauce, and saw the shatrika on the CC's menu on my first visit recently but didn't try it. The menu mentioned lime. Are these two dishes similar? If so, I'll be straight back there.

Good to see you both and all of those that attended.

Tandoori Knights has lost its specialness I think. The likes of Dulwich Tandoori are as good and a bit cheaper.

For different and special its Ganapati for me.

Next meeting on 14 May in the Surma.

Last Sunday night we were charged ?4.95 each for two large bottles of Cobra at the Dulwich Tandoori.

Is that correct? It seems vastly expensive, but we ordered them without looking at the drinks menu.

When I asked for an itemised receipt, it came back without the drinks on ..... they did redo it so we were deffo charged ?9.90 for the two.

Posting here as you're the most likely group of people to know :)

ETA: I did query it, as in "Is that right? A fiver for a bottle of Cobra?" The answer: "It's not a fiver" - well, no, it's five pence short of it :))

    • If it was limited to a couple of days a year, so we all knew, that would be fine. In the last few years (and it is a recent thing) you get random fireworks going off any time after dusk for half the year. It does more than cause problems for pets and wildlife- it can mean lasting damage and massive expense and hassle for pet owners. All because some get a buzz out of loud bangs.
    • Ohh dear.  Fireworks can be great fun.  Where I used to live the kids would have firework wars/games.  Watching them was more enjoyable than watching  TV. (Which you could hardly hear due to the pops and bangs).  It's not like anyone/anything could stop them. I would still prefer organised public displays that are affordable.   And I agree that fireworks cause problems for wild life, pets and people.   It seems to be one of those things that just happens so we have to put up with it.  But it is still not as problematic here as in other areas in London - that's for sure.
    • I made sure to set off a few today just to rile you guys up 😇😂 Always looking for something to criticise
