Can anyone recommend a courier for large items?

Thinking of selling my 4x12 speaker cab, and a few people on ebay have asked if I'd be willing to send it, rather than them collecting. Can anyone recommend a good service that might be able to give me a quote?

Friend of mine who uses ebay alot, always talks about shipleys.com roughly you put the job on there & different couriers bid for the job trying to out-underbid each other (yup, think I made that phrase up but you know what I mean!).
