What!!! Better than the Sistine Chapel? The Taj Mahal perhaps? I could go on. The only thing that makes that look any good is the reflection of the sunlight coming off of it. Jeez!

I dunno, have you been to the Sistine Chapel. I mean technically yes it's good, but seriously, could you actually live with that...eek.

If the pope had only had Linda Barker round with a pot of Magnolia paint and some nice net curtains he's have probably lounged about in that hall drinking the blood of the children he murdered a bit more often.

Nasty surprise here:

Acid house was blowing up as 6th form started, was never stupid enough to try E, but here are 99 tabs of it:

Walled city, Kowloon, echoes of Shenmue 2 anyone?

By the way, LX3 or G10? (for SLR's I'll stick to film, thanks)

Despite being a long term fan of Canon (and Minolta, natch), I'm all too aware that since they started outsourcing production abroad, the quality has declined, but this is a bit much...

Also, some test shots of the 5D MK2 in Akiba, with a couple of stalker shots thrown in for good measure...

I still can't believe the street price for this camera, from what I've read about what's inside, 2.5k certainly isn't justifiable, just seems like "full frame tax", Canon taking a leaf out of Apples pricing book?

So, I have just over 1,000 photos to sort through from my vacation (to start with!). I've got some that I'd like to post online. What do you guys recommend? Flickr? Panaramio? Mainly I just want to be able to share photos with select people, or the world at large & retain the copyright.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Flickr is free up to a certain point - limits on the number of pictures you can view.

It is good provided either

- you want to share them publicly

- the people you want to share with are also Flickr users (in my experience they aren't!)

You can create guest passes to collections and send the URL to non Flickr people but it is messy

    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
    • I've never got Christmas pudding. The only times I've managed to make it vaguely acceptable to people is thus: Buy a really tiny one when it's remaindered in Tesco's. They confound carbon dating, so the yellow labelled stuff at 75% off on Boxing Day will keep you going for years. Chop it up and soak it in Stones Ginger Wine and left over Scotch. Mix it in with a decent vanilla ice cream. It's like a festive Rum 'n' Raisin. Or: Stick a couple in a demijohn of Aldi vodka and serve it to guests, accompanied by 'The Party's Over' by Johnny Mathis when people simply won't leave your flat.
    • Not miserable at all! I feel the same and also want to complain to the council but not sure who or where best to aim it at? I have flagged it with our local MP and one Southwark councillor previously but only verbally when discussing other things and didn’t get anywhere other than them agreeing it was very frustrating etc. but would love to do something on paper. I think they’ve been pretty much every night for the last couple of weeks and my cat is hating it! As am I !
    • That is also a Young's pub, like The Cherry Tree. However fantastic the menu looks, you might want to ask exactly who will cook the food on the day, and how. Also, if  there is Christmas pudding on the menu, you might want to ask how that will be cooked, and whether it will look and/or taste anything like the Christmas puddings you have had in the past.
