To post an image right click (or whatever the mac equivalent is, apple click?) on the image in question and select properties. This will bring a little pop up with its info. Then come to the forum and select the image url button above the text box where you normally post. It's the one with the hills and sun. Then paste the image's path off the properties there, make sure you have the full path beginning with http:// or ftp://

If it's a file on your computer then do an attachment as per normal then click on your attachment once its up and do exactly as above, or of course put it on a hosting site like flickr. Flickr actually provides you with all the code to put photos up on sites, complete with the links, attribution and mouse overs.

Another room in the lounge. Sheesh.

Thought it might be a nice place to share photos for those into photography or who just like great photos.

I know we have flickr for this sort of thing, but what the hey, not everyone's a flickrite are they.

I'll kick it off with this, by the chap who first inspired me to take photography more seriously, a canadian by the name of Sam. I've watched his interest and enthusiasm and skill grow in a parabola roughly 2 years ahead of mine, and he continues to do so. If I have a 5D and a 100mm f2.8 in a couple of years time, I'll be very happy :)

Mind you if I'm taking pictures of snow in london I'll be pleasantly surprised as it does seem to be avoiding us these past years.

Ooh, and try to link back to appropriate sites with attribution where possible

What HAVE you started.

My cat, Spacey. I know, I know.

I took this myself, with one of those film cameras.

I am a member of a group on Facebook called something along the lines of:

"I still use film cameras and play music on vinyl" or something.

My other half is a photographer - he'll be a member of EDF soon. Oh heck is there enough bandwidth?

Are we all not aware there is a world shortage of pixels?

OK how do I put the photo IN the message and not as an attachment? By the way, I am merely an amateur photographer but I do carry a camera on me at all times, and not the one that is part of my mobile phone, either! I'd like to see the photos that people on the forum take! Having said that, the snow crystals and DGilmour shots are fabulous.

OK PR, have posted some instructions at the top of the page and took the liberty of posting your cat up too.

There are quite a few snappy types on the forum, and their photos are to be found scattered throughout, I just thought it'd be nice to get a place where people can appreciate good photography.

Here's one from a forumite of our own dear Peckham Rye

And couldn't resist putting this one of yours truly in, taken by Fear n' boozin / CrystalClear.

Looks like absinthe to me ::o

Keef - you are so rock and roll :))

Mockney - Nice one, I like this thread. :)-D

And THIs is not a trick photo.

All my photos are taken on FILUM cameras and this is at Mudchute City Farm south of the Isle of Dogs.

You can tell how long ago I took it by how many buildings are missing that have since been built!

I LOVE llamas, me.

I LOVE this one, and my mate Ian in Cumbria raised this sheep as the sheep's mummy died giving birth. But BlackSheep got adopted by the llamas - llamas are very protective of sheep. COuldn't stop him becoming Ian's dinner one day though. How we laughed. That bloody sheep gave me more bruises on my shins so clearly deserved to be dinner.

Nice pix yourself Mockney!

    • Sorry, not having a dig at Southwark for that.   I'm just shocked that next door they've chosen to abandon such an institutional community / family event so they can keep pumping out commercial stuff instead.   I suppose the same could happen here next although we don't really have any longstanding family events like that one.
    • No doubt the schools in Harrogate are being discussed on the East Harrogate Forum or whatever. Dulwich College is being discussed because it's local. Saying "ooh, there were loads of schools mentioned" is a bit dismissive. It was Dulwich College that referred sex abuse allegations about pupils to the police and Dulwich College that used the spectre of the police to suppress dissent. 🤔
    • Hi, I was just wondering what experiences any of you have had in relation to an Independent Panel review relating to the Permanent Exclusion of a SEN child. 1. General experience Any experiences, positive or negative, in general? 2. Clerks Associates UK Any experience of this entity acting as an "independent clerk" to an Independent Review Panel in a matter involving a Permanent Exclusion of a SEN pupil, also involving discrimination under the Equality Act 2010. There is limited publicly available information with regards to this "independent clerk"; however, I can see from their Annual Report & Accounts at Companies House that they are a small, privately owned organisation.   I am very concerned that there is a clear and material risk that they are highly dependent for their revenues and cash flow from the business that they receive from the school and its parent Trust (which has 9 schools in total under its management) who have appointed them. I also note that the Trust has a material employee relations dispute with their staff over underpayment of maternity pay whilst materially increasing the salaries of the highest paid Trust executives and other highly paid staff (presumably the Head Teachers). https://southwarknews.co.uk/news/community/teachers-at-six-charter-schools-walk-out-in-first-of-four-strike-days-planned-for-this-month/ Given the current situation, we have no choice but to engage in this process of an Independent Panel Review; however, we are concerned as to various elements including this one which is a key role in providing independence. 3. Independent SEN expert We have the right to an independent SEN expert to review the matter and provide their opinion to the Independent Review Panel. The concept is that this person is supposedly acting "independently" and also solely in respect of the SEN elements of the matter. We do not however know who this person is, their experience or level of independence. The last information that I can find in the public domain about the effectiveness of an Independent SEN expert is a UK govt report from 2014 which portrays a very mixed experience for parents. Hence, we are seeking to understand if anyone has any more recent experience of an Independent SEN expert in relation to an Independent Panel Review. Many thanks for any thoughts that you have based on your experience. For reasons of confidentiality, it is perhaps better to send any replies to me directly. Many thanks
