*sighs* I'm a strong believer if you happen to make plans with someone with plenty of notice and enthusiasm that one should not be expected to be let down at the last moment unless there's been some majorly important thing or an emergency... I could continue rambling on here but I'm not in the mood :p

*goes off to find a tissue mumbling something about the after effects of wine and emotions...*

Anyone wanna take me out this eve? I'm free :p

Fed up to the back teeth of selfish arrogant members of public (sorry usually males) who take up the whole of the arm rest on both sides of their tube seat whilst reading their papers and sit with their legs spread really wide so you are reduced to deflating into nothingness whilst trying to read your own newspaper, had one either side of me this morning, got so angry I actually reminded them both that they are only supposed to take up one person's spaceworth! to which one mumbled angrily into his newspaper and the other gave me looks to kill. Why do they love encroaching on other's space? and if I hear the "well we need to sit with our legs wide to make room for our crown jewells etc" excuse again, I'll scream, no man is that huge, and if he is, then please feel free to pm me personally ha!;-)>:D

Bah humbug

(Actually I have - following Tuesday's result ;-))

Work! (figures - in numbers not the physical type- ppl calling, all the extra paper work thrown at me, lazy arsed ppl who fink they're above the rest of us "workers", ppl skiving off work - come on we've all had to go to work with a cold! - the list goes on!)

Incidentally if the person who just booked tickets for next Monday is a forumite... ur tickets will be held at the Box Office for collection :p

    • Hi, my son is nine and wants to get into playing dungeons and dragons. Does anyone know of a children’s group playing nearby? Neither me or my husband ever played so we’re at a loss as to how to help!
    • Hi, found this thread searching for similar for my 9 year old son. Did you find anything locally? Thanks!
    • A lot of this is down to why the high street came into being in the first place  consumer demand  And now times has changed and consumers behave differently.  And businesses adapt to that.  It’s a bottom up approach as opposed to something imposed upon us.   It’s not to my tastes. But what do people expect to happen.  Jazzer is on to something when he says boycott Amazon - but the reality is even many who boycott Amazon choose other or more ethical alternatives. But still online  going into town for “a shop” just isn’t what people do anymore  Yeah but that’s not a real comparison. And “for ill” glosses over a lot of wrong as well  but we live in 2025 now and any of us oldies who think when we were 20 was the best time ever, a time we should go back to are just pining for our youths  there is no country in the world that can turn back the clock.  So in 2025, where is the closest vision of somewhere you would like.  Because if you look globally you don’t just get capitalism.  You can choose dictatorships or communism too
