Why are there lasers on the crystal palace pylon?

Has anyone else noticed the lasers on the pylon ? I noticed them tonight. Does anyone know why??

Correctomundo! We Palacestinians are all planning our viewing spots (mine will be from a handily placed local pub). No need to travel to CP though as the display is due to be seen over a 25 mile radius apparently - due to kick off 21.15ish.
