Sarah A-G
Can anyone help? I need two bedrooms stripped and painted. Approximately 13 x 12 each. Reasonable state. Plain wallpaper currently. Ceiling / skirting boards / radiator etc need painting too. Bog standard Dulux is fine. I have been quoted ?650 per room. Inclusive of labour and materials. Is this reasonable? I know I should get another quote but I am pushed for time. These people could start next week. I would be very grateful if someone in the know / who has just had something similar done could give me the heads up. Huguenot
I don't know what the quality of the house is - but if it's a London stock ED 3 bedroom you might want to put backing paper on the wall before painting? It'll possibly cost you a little more, but it makes a hell of a difference to the perceived warmth of a room compared with paint on plaster. The texture will also reflect modern light bulbs less harshly :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23000-decorating-prices-i-need-some-guidance/#findComment-538048 Share on other sites
