Cassius
I need to draw up a simple and straightforward Will. Has anyone done a 'd.i.y' Will or would anyone recommend doing officially through a solicitor. ?200 or ?250 plus VAT seems quite steep from a solicitor. Marmora Man
I drew up a simple DIY will for my mother through a website - not too costly, simple easy to follow steps and a final checking process by qualified solicitor.A lot less than ?250 + VAT.Simple web search will identify a number of providers. computedshorty
I got a Solicitor to draw up my Will, naming him by name and my sister as Executors, I have found out that he has also died and my sister would not be able to act for me, she will now be my beneficiary, So I will have to sort it out.I have already arranged my own Funeral and paid for it, so that is sorted. It all seems pointless as there will be nothing left.My advice is if you are young make one yourself for the timebeing, things change too often. Mick Mac
Related point - I have heard that wills (of the dead) are public documents? Is this correct and how do you access one?
