he's very cute and looks just like my little guy Gizmo, I will keep an eye out for him, I live just up the road, chadwick rd/grove park...I assume you've tried your neighbours, put up posters, checked with vets & Celia Hammond/Cat Protection/the council ...it's also worth checking with the postie/binmen and any others who are regularly in your area

Hi thank you both for responding! He may have been seen by someone last night on bellenden road (strangely outside the front door of our very good friends? which makes me think it was him as he knows them well and could smell them I think. He is usually in the gardens (back of Oglander/Bellenden/top of Maxted and I think maybe this is the first time he?s got over to the road side and is now disoriented and lost.

I have contacted the local vets and put up posters and leafleted many of the houses on roads mentioned above as I was sure he must have got stuck somewhere. I will call local cat rescue centres now. Thank you for your help and concern!

    • I'm guessing that most people with pets would not bring either the pets or fireworks into their day to day conversations, to complain or otherwise. Are you suggesting that only "timid" pets are scared by fireworks? What evidence do you have for that, exactly?ย  Or are you equating being scared of fireworks with being "timid"? And what about the foxes and other wildlife? Is it ok for them to be scared? Firework noise is not a noise that "comes with normal city living" ! What a very strange thing to say! Are you one of the people who have been constantly letting off fireworks recently? I'm assuming you don't have any pets yourself, or you wouldn't have these opinions, but if you do have pets, please share how they react when they hear loud bangs. Unless they are goldfish, in which case you probably wouldn't be able to tell.
    • Well, I know a lot of people in London with pets and I've never heard any of them complain about fireworks.ย  Maybe what's not ok is keeping timid animals in a metropolis when they are scared of the noises that come with normal city living.
