Or Uber to FH, train to EC and change (its an easy change with lift access to all platforms).

We've done this a few times in the past few months, full loaded with luggage. Easily done in 45 mins or even less if the stars align!

You can use oyster all way to Gatwick now. Tap out at airport. Cheap as chips

Might be cheaper than buying a ticket. Saves time as well.

I've had a look and it depends on what time you leave.

Forest Hill to Gatwick off-peak is ?6.20, but ?9.90 during the peaks.

East Dulwich to Gatwick off-peak is ?7.00 and ?10.40 during the peak.

East Croydon to Gatwick off-peak is ?3.20 and ?5.30 during the peak.

So during the peaks at least, it may be cheaper to use Oyster to touch in and out at East Croydon and don't touch out during the off-peak.

    • Help! I plugged an external hard drive into my laptop  to see what was on it, and now I can't eject it because it has started doing something.  I'm getting a message that it's currently in use, close any programs or windows that might be using it, and try (to eject it) again. But I've closed everything down that I can see. It's got an enormous amount of stuff on it, documents photos and music,  which I don't want to lose.  Could it be synching to OneDrive? What shall I do? Just wait till it's finished whatever it's doing? Surely whatever it's doing shouldn't have started automatically? I hate my laptop with a vengeance 🤬 It has caused me nothing but trouble since I got it. I also hate Windows 11. Rant over.

    • Mango Indian just off Borough Market is great. A bit pricy (though worth it) in the evenings, but if you're going for lunch they do a £12 set menu. Not quirky though, sorry!  https://lovemango.co.uk/menus/
