Has anyone ever checked this secondary school out? It's the one near Peckham Rye Park. Apparently, It's just got it's Ofted back and its an Outstanding school. Secondary is a few years a way for us, but nice to think there's an Outstanding comprehensive secondary in the area!
secondary is a few years away for us too but yes its good to know it has been rated as outstanding,as its out nearest secondary got a feeling we may be offered this school when our time comes although charter would be my first choice (depending on how the school is doing then).
It's great news, and I'm not THAT surprised, based on the feedback I've been getting from people I know who have children that go there. We are so lucky to have schools of this caliber close by and we will certainly be considering it for our daughter's - only 3 more years until my oldest will be off to secondary school - arrrggghh!! How is that possible?

    • Crofton Park (borough of Lewisham) has a community notice board which as well as listing councillors is full of notices about local community activities of all sorts and for all ages. It is clean and tidy and only has one small fly poster (attached with one very small piece of tape, and easily removed - I didn't though). Crofton Park also has a lovely little community garden alongside the station, full of flowers, with lots of things of interest to kids,  and also obviously lovingly maintained. I don't know who the land belongs to - possibly the station, though access is via the adjoining road. If Lewisham council/Crofton Park residents can maintain a community notice board, why can't Southwark Council/East Dulwich residents?
