I recently underwent a past life regression therapy session, privately arranged through a friend. It was one of the most cleansing, amazing experiences I?ve had in many years. I was told about it via a spiritualist church I regularly attend for other forms of therapy including healing and meditation.

I know this forum has a lot of sceptics, but I can not recommend this enough. If you are suffering from physical or mental problems or even just feeling a bit under the weather, this sort of therapy can help with anxiety, pain, sleep issues and grief. Would anyone let go share their past life regression stories with the forum? Through exploration of my deeper consciousness I found out I was a Victorian dressmaker who lived in a small coastal town. The experience was so vivid that when I awoke I almost felt like I could still see the people whos clothing I had made and helped repair in my regression session. Since the experience, I have become quite calm and sleep has been getting back on track.

I'm glad to hear that you've sought help as it was quite clear recently that you were slipping back into old Forum ways. Do your dressmaking skills extend to inside leg measurements? I only ask as I need to give accurate info to an online suit-making company and would appreciate your hands-on expertise...

Unfortunately I am probably the least handy person in the world when it comes to haberdashery related issues. Possibly because in my previous life I successfully mastered that particular thing? I find it fascinating that each life we have influences the next stage of our many layers of existence.

Louisa.

I?m not sceptical but I find the life I have at the moment sufficient enough than to want to investigate any other lives I may or may not have had in the past. I do wonder though if the hypnosis I assume you underwent for the regression may have relaxed you to such an extent to account for your calmness and better sleep you are experiencing now?

My sleep and calm nature are almost certainly (in part at least) related to this session. I was once told my a spirit medium friend that I was a relatively old soul and had probably gone through various stages of existence. The purpose of this therapy varies from person to person, but ultimately the end goal is quite successful. Most of us will be unaware of our inherited traits in this life, which are often attributable to either lessons learnt or lessons yet to be learnt, in this life.

I certainly would recommend it to anyone not fully in a good place reading this. A big eye opener.

I really believe in this, and at a really low point in my life I used to attend a spiritualist church in Notting hill where I lived at the time, I went not in order to connect with spirit myself but because there was a really beautiful peaceful loving energy there and it was comforting for me to see others find peace through connecting with lost loved ones.

When I was diagnosed with a potentially life threatening illness some years ago after I received my diagnosis I went to the church and attended some of their donation only healing sessions.

The ladies there were angels and helped me so much out of pure goodness and I firmly believe they helped with my recovery.

There will always be sceptics but I know the kindness and love I felt in that church exceeded that I've felt in the churches of other 'conventional' religions.

I wish I knew a spiritualist church locally because I would love to go back and Notting Hill is too far for me to attend in the evening and get home at a decent hour.

Louisa-where is our nearest one and can we get there on public transport?

NewWave, there are numerous Spirtualist Churches nearby, but without a doubt, my favourite is the one near Eltham train station. A lovely bunch of people, so friendly and kind, and as you say extremely supportive and community minded. You?ll never want for a helping hand again, or feel isolated or lonely once you?ve met these beautiful people.

Easily accessible by direct train links from PR station, takes about 15/20 minutes. Or if you?re driving roughly the same again. They do open circles during the week, along with private readings, meditation and a Sunday service with a guest medium. Please PM me and I?ll forward the churches website with events diary to you.

It's harmless Unc - My mother attended the Swansea Spiritualist Center for years (as well as sometimes the Swansea Psychic Center) and it made her happy.

It wasn't about money either the most she ever donated was our old piano and she asked me first :)

Dear Louisa, Thank you for your Kind offer.

Eltham still seems a bit far for me to get to (I'm way down near the Horseman Museum) Seeing your post has made me decide to look into where the various Churches are especially if theres one I can get to easily twixt work or home.

    • Pickup your dogs shit off the street, it's so simple. Don't own a dog if you cannot do this basic service. Pathetic. Cleaning my shoes of dog shit for the 2nd time this month. What's going on?
    • Hi SpringTime, I completely understand the concern for protecting birds, but using bells on cats is a bit more complicated. While they may reduce hunting success, they're not always effective & can cause stress for some cats, who are highly sensitive to sound. A better solution is to ensure cats are kept indoors during peak bird activity & providing plenty of enrichment at home to satisfy their hunting instincts. There's a terrible misconception that cats do not require as much mental & physical enrichment as dogs do. But they do, if not more so.

    • Hi Nigello, Many spayed/neutered & microchipped cats actually don't wear collars, as they often go missing & can pose risks.  Microchipping is far more reliable for reuniting lost cats with their guardians. Some of our clients even keep sacks of collars on standby because their cats frequently return without them - a comical but telling example of how impractical collars can be. A major contributor to unspayed/unneutered cats & kittens is purchasing from breeders, where these measures are often overlooked. Adopting from shelters, on the other hand, ensures all precautionary steps - like spaying/neutering, microchipping, as well as vaccinations - are already in place.
