cheap and cheerful and perfect for a'cinq a sept' at about ?40 a night I don't think this is an unreasonable query...i was looking for a hotel myself but not for love in the afternoon.... good luck, do people know something i don't?

what a brilliant thread.. Which is the best hotel for putting your old man in when he comes to visit... preferably not seedy. Just a nice guest house thats not noisy, that is clean and that won't break the bank. It's the first time he's visited and i want to give him a good impression.

Katie1997 - you seem all too versed with this information - is this "friend" actually YOU ?

Hotsauce - if it's just a bit of "Afternoon Delight" your friend is after then does it matter if it is East Dulwich or anywhere else that rents rooms by the hour ?

I guess this time of year it is too cold for al-fresco-shagging !!

    • Why not get a real poodle.  They can be clipped to look like a cockapoo if you like.  They don’t need to be in a show clip.  They don’t shed.    Both breeds would need regular grooming.  I have/had friends with very charming poodles both medium and standard so see if you can make the acquaintance of some.
    • How did you manage to outwit your resident fox?
    • They're both names that have stuck in my mind, Lukasz particularly.  These searches may well be helpful to you.   From a cursory look, I think Pawel's appearance in the 2015 'Rogue trader warning'  isn't to his detriment. https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/search/?q= Lukasz&quick=1 https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/search/?q=Pawel&quick=1
    • Hi - I posted a request for some help with a stuck door and possible leaky roof. I had responses from Lukasz at Look_as.com and Pawel at Sublime Builders. I don't see any/many reviews - has anyone used either person?  Could use a recommendation rather then just being contact by the tradespeople... Many Thanks
