Bee keeper - NOW SORTED

Recommended Posts

Through doing some garden refurb a ceramic sink in the back garden was moved and an active Bumble bee nest was found. Unfortunately it is in the way of where a new retaining wall is due to go.

Would you like to take the nest away or remove it to another location?

I hope you can help me.

Thank you Annie for relocating the bumble bee's.

Do you have email addresses for Rosendale and the Grove Park allotments please?

I was told nests are protected so they need to be moved, it would be immoral to destroy the nest. I also was led to believe that in a couple of weeks if the weather gets colder (and it looks like it will remain warm during daylight hours) they would die off themselves, however the Queen then hibernates.

I need the nest gone so the retaining wall can be rebuilt. Any help will be appreciated to remove the nest.

While bumbles are not honey generators, they are bee's which pollinate, so I am hoping someone with knowledge and experience can help me.
