Hi

My yoga classes run on a Thursday night at the Dulwich Chiropractic clinic, 277 Crystal Palace road.

6.45 to 8pm and 8:15 to 9.30pm.

I offer a taster class for ?5. To then book for the rest of a term it will be ?10 per class or ?11.50 for a drop in (if there is space)

The classes are small with no more than 5 students in each to ensure I can give attention to all. Classes focus on the breath with more emphasis put on the function of the posture rather than the form.

The hallmarks of this particular approach are:

- careful attention to and precise application of the breath

- adaptation of posture

- dynamic as well as static posture work

- careful sequencing of postures

Testimonials from current students:

I really like how Susie builds up classes as the terms progress, with a different focus each half term. I enjoy the breathing and stillness moments at the end of the class, which help me to integrate the sessions and get ready to face the outside world again. I leave feeling that my body has been gently challenged, but at the same time relaxed. Susie teaches with warmth and her instructions are clear.

I?ve been attending the yoga classes with Susie for nearly 6 months with my teenage daughter. We love the classes as we were both beginners because Susie explains everything not only with the movements we do but our breathing also. We both have more flexibility and stamina than before, and are growing more confident with each session. It has helped a great deal in having an hour to keep my mind clear and focus on the class, and how I feel after is amazing?.. highly recommend to anyone

I have tried lots of different styles of yoga but nothing really clicked until I came to this class.

    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
    • There's a food bank off Dog Kennel Hill. Albrighton Community Fridge. https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ I'm sure they would welcome them, but maybe check first? Drop off seven days a week 9 - 5. Be warned if you are going by car, parking can be very difficult, easiest if there are two of you so one person can take the food in while the other can move the car if necessary.
    • Food banks for sure and what about approaching these schools in area that run summer camps - although having said that with health and safety being so strict might not allow it - crazy really.    Can’t remember name of church but was one in Peckham that from memory did a community meal a couple of times a week. Now they for sure would take them and probably Kingswood House as well.
