I'm still struggling with which bit was the dullest.

Tess Daly's utterly vapid piece from Battersea Park or pretty much anything that involved Fearne Cotton.

I quite liked Huw Edwards' crestfallen 'The rain did have an effect' line at the end though.

He was only a couple of pints away from saying 'What a load of old bollocks that was'.

I was there - and the best part of the Flotilla was the man powered section - hundreds of oar powered vessels crowding the river and squeezing through Tower Bridge in a messy and unchoreographed sequence made an great impression - I did see some of the TV highlights and TV somehow diminished the whole event - the boats appeared too small and the river too large. However, close up it worked. The various musical elements also added much - the final finale after the singing "Hope and Glory" with the London Symphony playing a Hornpipe ever faster was just great.

    • Hi there,  I am looking for someone to fix a TABLE LAMP. I guess an electrician, but are there any electrical shops in the area, like there use to be?  Or any other suggestions please?  Cheers Thomas
    • Hands up if you remember the days Iof white dog poo, caused by diet i believe.  At least you could spot them glowing on a dark night 😅
    • I sent an email a few days ago to the counsellor who has responsibility for leisure in Southwark, Portia Mwangangye. I also copied the generic leisure email address and received a reply from Phillipa Gillespie, General Manager of Dulwich Leisure Centre. She apologised for the lack of updates and explained that the there had been an unforeseen and catastrophic failure of the filtration system. The replacement system has been ordered and they are awaiting delivery and installation, but she could give no timeframe for this. All very disappointing.
    • Smiley_blue_1234, perhaps the photo was of a business collection and not of one made by Veolia or on behalf of Southwark. And perhaps Buzzard's neighbours are omnivores.
