I don?t think so, and you don?t know anything about what I know. You weren?t there witnessing, I was.

I?m calling-our a street fouler publicly.

Your implication is that I am carrying out a behaviour that I know is wrong, that is simply not the case.

I can only think of shots from cameras at front doors showing people at 3am or whatever entering their house or looking at parked cars .

I don't recall anything similar to this ,pics of someone accused of not picking up after their dog .


May have missed it .

To be clear, knowingly leaving your dog's do-dos in a public place is a criminal offence.

Please direct your community spirit at those that leave the mess there, not at those that clear it up and raise it as an issue.

It's not clear to me if you are making general comments or whether you are endorsing criticism of lucy123


What would be your direction on how "community spirit" should be displayed/put into action ? Would you be in favour of the approach adopted on this thread ?

Reporting offenders to the authorities with evidence is a good start.

Or returning the poo back to them so they can do something with it.

Educate the fecal ne'er-do-gooders that they've done wrong, raising their awareness that they are not improving the community and it's environment.

To me this thread seems nothing more than an infliction of a punishment on someone .


One person found to be guilty by another who decides on public humiliation as the way forward .


I don't think the motive is highlighting an issue or educating people .


And as said above ,great encouragement for some to extract vengence by posting images and making accusations that have not been sustantiated .

I think this thread doesn't count as education ,as said I think it's a vehicle for punishing someone thought to have done something wrong . Debate away - what do you think ?

For clarity - when I say "I'm sure" I'm using an expression . Couldn't prove it in a criminal court ,but as KK has pointed out ,this isn't one .

I don?t really agree with publishing photos. We don?t have public stocks anymore for good reason. That said, I would be surprised if the story is just made up and Lucy is not exactly denying it happened. So not that much sympathy.

Two wrongs don't make a right .


I really disliked the mindset of this thread which to me smacked v much of vigilantism and seemed to be being proposed ( even if in a light hearted way ) as an alternative to the stocks

I was surprised that Admin allowed the pic to go up in the first place and even more surprised by Admins's posts which to me seemed ambigious ( an ambiguity which wasn't clarified when I questioned it ) and easily intepreted as supporting this form of public stocks .

      I know the couple you mean, and she has always been friendly and smiley when delivering to me, but obviously in a hurry, for all the reasons outlined in the thread. My gate is always open, however (unless someone coming to the house closes it when they leave). I can't see the point of gates that have to be opened and shut again every time someone comes to the house. It just seems a waste of time, and it's annoying if you are carrying stuff. And a closed gate  conveys a sort of "my house is my fortress" feel. To me, anyway.

      Hi, Just a quick note to say it's six months since I launched Eats Dulwich. In that time I've reviewed 28 restaurants. Usually four or five a month except for a month when I came down with gout, which I guess is an occupational hazard. Don't say I don't suffer for my art. Early on someone – Sue, I think – asked me what I'm going to do when I've reviewed every restaurant in East Dulwich. I'm nowhere near that point, but what I have found is that a lot of new openings have tended to be in Rye Lane, so the site has expanded to cover SE15, hence the slight change of name (still haven't had any cease and desist letters from anything with a similar name).  Anyway, the site is still free, it would be great if as many readers as possible here can subscribe so that they automatically get new posts (when you try to subscribe the default might be paid subs but that's down to Substack, just tick the free option instead) as I don't post everything on EDF. Obviously you can get reviews elsewhere if you want, but I think this is the only proper site for local East Dulwich people written by a local East Dulwich person. If you like eating out please have a read. And if there are other places you think I should visit please mention them below and i'll do my best to try them.       Can you explain what your point was, then? Because it isn't clear to me. No. Perhaps you could provide a link and explain its relevance? That would be helpful     Those figures suggest that over 10,000,000 voters were not "rejecting a far left party."
