A woman stuffed her trolley and bag with about ?300 worth of items and tried to escape! The workers tried to stop her and she tried to kick the glass door with her heels! The glass didn't break but it has cracks in it. The police were called and held her down. She lied saying her kids were in the car which is why officers were checking all the parked cars outside the shop.

I heard the police got wind of the prices, and went to arrest the staff for theft.

I thought it was something to do with another post when the soupdragon proprietor said she was closing up because the landlord would not renew the lease- I had a fleeting thought that she might have barricaded herself in!

Shame for the proprietor to leave on such a note. I wonder if she will set up shop elsewhere. It was a beautiful shop, a really lovely cave of treasures.
