You don't need to use a third party scheme like ACCOR / Busy Bees etc at all. For a small employer (your company) the costs will balance out the savings.

All that is needed (I think - check it all through with your company accountant) is that you set it up as a salary sacrifice, and instead of the nursery invoicing you for the amount of allowed off-settable fees, they invoice your employer and the employer pays that part of the nursery bill, and deducts that amount from your salary.

My employer, a small third sector company, paid the nursery direct. I received a letter changing my T&C, outlining the terms of the salary sacrifice.

I think you can find all this on the HMRC website.

The downsides of salary sacrifice schemes like this are that any redundancy, pension, maternity etc entitlements are based on your new (lower) taxed salary. This is unlikely to be an issue for you, though.

    • Just had a fine lunch at Franklins and can confirm that it's soon to be sold and will have a minor refurbishment before reopening, probably as The Victory, which was its original name, I think.
    • The https://www.carcheck.co.uk/  history service is free, which is just as well given that it's freely available from DVSA* at https://www.gov.uk/transport/mots.  Carcheck do provide some additional general info as well, and have even beaten DVSA to getting the 2027 MOT record up. There is a .car top-level domain  (just as this forum's top-level domain is .uk)  but any mention of gov anywhere before it -- like  mot.records.gov.car --  would suggest it's owned by someone who wants to fool users into believing that it's an official government website, which it isn't.  It doesn't end  in gov.uk * There's also a link from a DVLA Tax/MOT check results page
