FREE: various bits of baby stuff

Recommended Posts

Clearing out cupboards and getting rid of various bits and pieces which we no longer need. All free to anyone who will collect. Please read carefully and if interested message me for further info:

1. Travel Bed Guard: A brand new, never used, travel bed guard. It is made of metal and fabric and you assemble it to go on side of the bed to stop child falling out.

2. Extendable safety gate: like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/BabyDan-Guard-Retractable-Safety-White/dp/B00DNK23Y0. The clever thing about this one is that when it is open, it completely folds away so there is nothing to trip over. And it covers a wide distance, not just a typical door space.

3. Stroller: basic, lightweight, collapsible black stroller. One of the front wheels is a bit bent inwards as it was hit by a mobility scooter (!) but it works fine.

4. Blue potty like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pourty-Easy-to-Pour-Potty-Penguin-Grey/dp/B01M4L7B4V/ref=sr_1_4?crid=FSGM29C12G6S&keywords=pourty+potty&qid=1574069943&s=baby&sprefix=poultry%2Cbaby%2C139&sr=1-4

5. Pair of hamster cheek bags for buggy/pram, really useful! You can fit loads in them and they don't make your buggy fall over backwards. Like this - https://www.pushchairs.co.uk/acatalog/hamster_bags.html

6. Toddler floating ring thing. This - https://www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/baby-swim-float-a5540.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIooa4_bvz5QIVzLHtCh2fxwXGEAQYASABEgKrZvD_BwE

7. Uppababy buggy board. The strap which it attaches onto on the buggy itself is missing but can be easily improvised with a bit of string or similar, saving you around ?100 on a brand new one. https://www.johnlewis.com/uppababy-vista-ride-along-piggyback-board/p2031725?sku=234447244&s_ppc=2dx92700046626661258&tmad=c&tmcampid=2&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxrOmm7zz5QIVirTtCh2wVQdAEAQYAiABEgIVbPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

8. Uppabbaby vista seat, grey. Well used - clean but with stains. If for some reason you need to replace your buggy seat but don't want to buy a whole new buggy, this will do you.

I really need to clear space in cupboards so this will all be going to dump by end of the week if not collected. I hope somebody can make use of it.

    • Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.
    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
    • Was anyone else disturbed last night/early hours this morning by the party going on in someone’s garden on Crystal Palace road. Can’t see what house exactly but it’s around number 43 - 41… it was happening quite frequently last year. Seems it’s starting again! Very inconsiderate.
