Annette Curtain
I think the "eating standing up" is near de riguer (though if at home, timing is another thing)I put some mung bean flour spicy poppadums in the microwave the other day (they fluff up a treat) And I became rather distractedOMG they rapidly caught fire, becoming "Saddam's frisbees" in minutes & filling the air with their volatile chilli oil evilnessThe whole household ended up coughing their lungs out(which was quite funny in its own way:)))Nette Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24222-elevenses/#findComment-556574 Share on other sites
Otta
If I'm out, it's got to be a kebab. If at home, I'm not one for risking cooking when drunk, so normally it's soft cheese on cracker bread, or Roast Beef Monster Munch if available. Jah Lush
Not had a kebab for ages but yes if I'm out it's a dirty Donna. No salad, just meat, tomatoes, green chillies and loads of chilli sauce. Indoors - soft cheeses, Carrs water biscuits and Branston pickle. Guest
If drink has been taken, pork pie and chutney. Mm.Otherwise raspberries, ice cream and crunchy cereal bits with honey. Gives you a massive carb low about an hour later which aids deep and restful sleep. Annette Curtain
Just to qualify, when I wrote the following:"OMG they rapidly caught fire, becoming "Saddam's frisbees" in minutes & filling the air with their volatile chilli oil evilness"....I was stone-cold-sober (& not endangering the whole household whilst staggering around the kitchen)If i'm "of wine" then a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes + soya milk does me just fineNette Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24222-elevenses/#findComment-557431 Share on other sites
