Be vigilant - bogus "guttercleaners" seem to be around

Hi, just a quick warning about some possible bogus workmen in the area. We just had two workmen come to our house (we are in SE21/S24 borders) to offer to clean the gutters. They quoted a good price and we asked them to do the work. We then asked for their names and phone numbers, and they just drove off. They were in a red van without any company name or phone number on it. Unfortunately I did not note down the registration number.

Had one such dirtbag just now wearing a blue jumpsuit bang on the glass of our door with his key repeatedly, scarpered pretty quickly at my response.

I should have read this earlier. This morning they just came to check our roof and told us it need to be fixed. I was so silly that I gave them ?340 and now they disappeared... We are on Archdale road. Please let me know if anyone has seen them.
