I managed to get a free one this year- there is a charitable cafe place on Acre Lane in Brixton, one rainy day when the staff were mostly hovering inside, i waited until their backs were turned, and made off with decent sized one. They cant have noticed as no one gave chase.

    • Wow!  Is this the remnants of a wood pigeon?  We occasionally see the feathers following a kill but only once have I seen the hawk in the garden and certainly not like your experience.
