I can hear a dog crying/howling either on melbourne grove near lytcott Grove OR on glengarry - it is kept outside for a number of hours every day and sounds very distressed. I see an earlier post about this in Dec 19 - does any one know what house/flat number is doing this please? This started a few months ago. This sounds like a different dog to the one mentioned near Elsie Grove.

Hi blanched may

Yes we keep hearing the one your mentioning . I posted about it but no joy finding out which door number.

It's put out early morning out all day moans barks even in evening poor dog.

We think it's glengarry or Melbourne Grove.. Hard tell. Sound travels

    • Ha ha that's hilarious - how wonderfully embarrassing for Reform!
    • Closing down completely. The lovely people there are all retiring. Thanks, but Deptford is a long way to go to make two journeys to  take and collect a car! Do they not do even relatively minor repairs if it fails its MOT first time? Then that would require four journeys 😭 Wondering if there's already a thread on here for garage recommendations? People on my road WhatsApp group have recommended some local ones. I'm particularly gutted because apart from the lovely people who worked there,  Dell was a five minute walk for me!
    • I did think that might be the reason, but five years out of seven it's going to be a weekday (I think. Not sure how leap years might affect things!)
    • Probably because the 5th was a weekday. We still have the weekend to come. Also, some fireworks going off nearly every night for the last few months. Last night something was being let off that made a very deep booming noise every 10 seconds or so. That said, if the general public are beginning to see the harm done by firework noise and choosing to use low noise options and refusing to support organised events that still use the full throttle type, I for one would be very happy. Does anyone know if the Herne Hill Velodrome Halloween fireworks event used low noise options?
