So did you appeal them?

Yeah - What He Said.

Meanwhile, over on my motorcycle forum there was a recent story about how one of the motorcyclists had come off his bike in a smack with a 4x4 driver. He wasn't hurt much and then found himself sat waiting for the AA or someone to collect him and his bike, and guess what.

Yep, a traffic warden ticketed his broken bike.

He took a photograph of the scum issuing the ticket and sticking it on his DOWNED MOTORCYCLE ON ITS SIDE, ON THE SIDE OF the ROAD.

He did successfully challenge the fine, but the fact that the scum felt it was acceptable to even consider doing this, makes you wonder.

My wife took my late mother in law to Brockwell Lido and parked legally on a yellow as my mother in law was disabled and had a Disabled Badge. When she returned there was a parking ticket. She appealed and received a picture that the warden had taken. Either he got down on bended knee or he was just 3 feet high, but the camera angle made sure that the badge couldn't be seen. To cut a long story short we had to take her to a hearing on a saturday morning at the Haymarket and thankfully the ticket was rescinded. With this; i have to agree with an earlier poster that some wardens are indeed the scum of the earth.

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
