Nope. Not joyless..don't start with all that bollox. Just utterly disappointed as I wanted to enjoy the ceremony. How they can justify the cost of this I'll never know..however,as this is the pro-Olympics thread...

Agree. Great show, rubbish ending. I doubt Danny Boyle made the decision to put him in it - I don't understand the obsession with McCartney, every performance I've seen him do recently has been terrible.

I saw him. Boy that was weird.

There were so many enjoyable little moments during the ceremony it made it worth watching. I was particularly pleased that in this age of the celeb, the torch was lit by 7 unknowns.
