Change the record mate.

The only one on here 'fighting' is you.

I'm discussing an issue. It seems you spend quite a lot of your time discussing me.

? I'm discussing an issue?

Very much to the contrary - you are ignoring the issue and instead picking fights with the eu and remainders when all that has happened is that you got what you voted for

The issues are the Irish border, trade volumes massively down, businesss drilling like flies. All predicted and now they are happening you aren?t talking about them

The solution is simple - align yourself with and possibly join Single market and customs union.

Right in the sweet spot...

The inability to trade freely within your own country (ie between Britain and N.Ireland) is a far more humiliating and stark loss of sovereignty than anything the UK experienced as a member of the EU. Ironically, it is a consequence of Brexit - or of the Brexit deal Johnson chose.

"Given the concerns about supply chains, jobs, prices etc, this continued obsession about getting the vaccine a couple of weeks early is flimsy at best and just downright weird. In no way does it constitute any kind of genuine benefit"

This from December stands up well I think (now that 6 EU countries have overtaken UK with double-jab rates)

Have I gone mad or just misread the following?

Border checks to enforce air quality rules on solid fuel

Fuel crossing from Northern Ireland will be inspected to enforce new air quality rules from next year, Eamon Ryan has said?

??Given the links between burning of solid fuels and the health effects of air pollution, as well as the potential for market distortion for businesses properly adhering to the regulations, increased multi-agency enforcement and inspections of cross-border fuel movements will be required,? Ryan, the environment minister, said.

Has the Irish government thought this one through?

Not sure if there?s a problem in this?

We?ve increased our own Uk based regs on such things, and rightly so.

All wood must be kiln dried below 20% and DEFRA cert.

Other fuels must pass the DEFRA smokeless fuel test.

This from a year ago, and some of the responses, hold up pretty well I think

As does this from two years ago to the day, the crux being if people don't care about being lied to, they'll continue to do it...

    • I would leave London, or at a push move back to north London. In SE London if you want to get away in a car you are trapped, always an hour to go the first 10 miles, chugging up to the M4 or round the south circular, which is really just a line someone drew connecting a load of roads. and I know there are trains but first you have to get to those mainline stations, unless you only want to leave London to go to Kent. which I don't.
    • It was you who  made it personal in the first place,  Jazzer. You said you didn't feel safe in the streets,  and you said you didn't go to Central London because you didn't feel safe there. So are you now saying that wasn't "personal"? "Fire from the hip." Another interesting choice of words 🙄 I'm not "demanding" anything! I asked you some perfectly reasonable questions in  response to your own statements. None of which you have answered. Never mind. It seems to be pointless having a discussion with you. It's long past my bedtime. I'm going to turn on my sleep app  and go to sleep 😴💤
    • Hi Forumites, This afternoon someone in a dark blue/black saloon car collided with my parked car on Thompson Road, SE22 9JR. I have a neighbour’s doorbell cam footage of the collision at 14:30 19/09/2025 but am unable to identify the registration plate. If anyone has footage of a car travelling down Thompson Road towards Crystal Palace Road at that time please PM me. Of course if the Perp would like to confess they can also PM me. Thankyou.
