I?d just like to say how sad I am to see the Blue Mountain Cafe latterly the RockSteady Rum Loungs has closed its doors. When Mel first opened on NCR after a small stint at the top of Rye Lane, it was the only cafe to go to. A wonderful place of joy and love. Of chat and baby chinos for our children. The decor was brilliant Mel always welcoming. He was at the vanguard of making East Dulwich the place it is today. What with the loss of Brickhouse, it?s a very sad thing for our neighbourhood
