ADVICE APPRECIATED ON LABOURER RATES

Have been quoted ?500 for two guys to come for a day to break down a breeze block pond in the garden.

They are bringing their own tools which requires a breaker and an angle grinder as the blocks are reinforced.

The price doesn't include taking the materials away. Anyone know the going day rate for this kind of work?

Or has a recommendation for someone able to handle this? Thanks.

?250 each for the day rip off wouldnt be to bad if they were tking it away labour ?130 per day

I suggest you ask round some of the local landscaping companies, as they will have the experience and tools to do this job. They will also remove the waste to a registered tip at the end. Good luck.

Yes this is far too much - ditto asking garden landscapers - they might be keen as I am sure the recent weather has scuppered planting plans.
