My baby is 4 months old and has really bad wind. He's always suffered with it, but we got by okay until recently. It's got worse over the last couple of weeks - he's hungry and stressed, but often in too much pain to feed and my tricks don't seem to be working any more.

Any old wives tales you know of, or bizarre discoveries from your own experience that you can suggest?

have you tried cranial osteopathy? Miss Oi was very windy and was on Infacol for what felt like ages and eventually I took her down to the Vale practice - 1 appointment and it was sorted - though it doesn't sound like she had it so badly (didn't interfere with feeding for example) so it might take a few more goes - talk to them about it.

Hey,

Here are some things that has helped little I, sorry if some of them seem obvious.

? Dr brown bottles, they are a pain but i think they have made a significant difference.

? Hold baby upright as much as possible

? Infacol has really helped baby I, i know there is a shared view but it worked for us.

? Baby massage, youtube has some good videos.

? When winding, focus on stroking on babys left side (again there are videos on youtube). With I, i find that i get alot of his wind up by stroking in upwards motions this way.

Sit him with a straight back on your knee and support him around the back and front of his neck/chest. Then gently rock him side to side. This technique works quickly so if he doesn't give the wind up within a minute try something else. Also if he is breast feeding make sure you burp him after each breast and if he pulls off whie feeding. I had real problems with my son and found this technique worked brilliantly.

Thanks for the tips and advice. We went to the Children's Osteo clinic in Wandsworth and they were great, I wish I'd been sooner. That along with using some of the other suggestions, means feeding and winding is no longer a battle. Thank goodness!

Completely recommend the Childrens Osteo clinic for others in a similar situation. http://occ.uk.com/

We tried everything, including the OCC which I agree is brilliant. The eventual answer for us was a probiotic called Biogaia (you can get online). Worked in 3 days after weeks of non-stop horror. But hopefully all is solved and you dont need that!

    • Here to add my voice to those praising Temi. She just painted my dilapidated home office in ED and did a fantastic job in just two days in a much lighter colour, including woodwork, damp blocker and filling holes. She's efficient, on time and I barely heard a peep out of her; she just got on with the job. I recommend her wholeheartedly.
    • The residents & families of the estate are getting parking fines,  out of the blue , the residents parking system waa changed from Southern to Sippi with cameras put up in the car park and people issued with fines entering the estate for more then 10 minutes , families can no longer pick up or drop off family due to a new 10 minute wait fine. Residents are appealing with Sippi and Southern as there was no letters to consult of a parking change,  new waiting times or fines, delivery drivers are getting fines everyday,  if you get a fine,  appeal it, there is no signage up to say about parking fines or waiting time
