  1. I'm looking for advice on fitting 3 carseats in the back of our car for a newborn, 22 month old and almost 5 year old. We can squeeze ours in but it'll be a nightmare each time and I'm thinking about swapping 1 or 2 for narrower seats to make life easier. Any recommendations?
  2. Wow. How'd you manage that - would love to find out more. Especially as we're just one street over. I'll PM you. Jo
  3. 70 and 72 Dunstans Rd have converted butterfly roofs but they're not in a terrace, just the 2. We used the architect of one of them to go for pre-planning for ours on Amott Rd. We were knocked back and didn't take it further, so I'm very keen to hear how you get on. What road are you on?
  4. Just popping in to say hi. I'm Jo, I live in Peckham and I'm due with my 3rd at the end of Feb - eek 3 under 5! I made some great friends through these groups the first 2 times around and home to find some more maternity leave buddies this time. With work, exhaustion and 2 monkeys I might not make a meet up for a while, but definitely keen to. Jo
  5. Once you know what you want try advertising on Gumtree, that's where we found the best candidates. Also look at childcare.co.uk
  6. We're also not able to come - we'll be at home counting chicken pox spots! See you all next time.
  7. Hi. I'm a kiwi with a 4 and 1 year old who I'd love to have more kiwi in their lives. We'd be keen to meet up too. Jo
  8. We've used Mark for years. He's on 07932085932. Nice guy, reasonably priced and does a good job.
  9. We're having trouble with BT too - how can I run these tests you're talk about?
  10. I have a large mirror that I need to hang above the fireplace in our lounge and I need to find someone to do this safely and tidily (ie not MrJojo). Can you recommend anyone?
  11. I used Carly and was really happy with it. I've recommended her to lots of friends. She has 2 types so you'll have to give her a call to find out what they are.
  12. Thanks for all the suggestions and advice. Mykidsecoroom is great. If I ever need bunks or a Hut bed I'll buy from them!
  13. I'm planning on getting one of these for my 3.5 year old. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions on where to look? . I've checked out the ones at GLTC, John Lewis and ASPACE.
  14. I'm a huge fan of the Maria Kondo approach too. I'd love to try her advice fully, but with 2 littlies it's impossible. However I've been inspired to take a Kondo-lite approach and its made me think about our 'stuff' differently. It's been great, I've had 8 huge bags leave our house for charity or the tip and I've got loads to go. And my house looked pretty tidy before. Some of her thinking is a little fluffy, but it's easy to get past that to the essence of her message. And its easy to put her advice into action. I can't believe I'm recommending a book on tidying! I used to be cool!
  15. A question for those who have had a Brazilian blow-dry, what happens afterwards? Like down the track when you want to change style and not have it BB straight anymore? Do you do a treatment on it, or do you have to grow it out. And what sort of condition is it in afterwards? Thx
  16. I thought I might a home hairdresser so I'm after a recommendation. Just a cut this time, but I might admit defeat and get a proper dye job soon too. Thx
  17. We're planning a trip to NZ in November and thinking we might stop somewhere for a holiday for 5 or 7 nights on the way. We'll be travelling with a 3 1/2 year old and a 6 month old, so we need to keep travel logistics as simple as possible. We'd ideally like somewhere sunny and warm (but not too hot for the little ones). Or if not sunny, somewhere interesting. We've thought about Thailand, LA/Vegas, San Fran, or even Aussie. Can you recommended anywhere? Destinations, hotels/resorts...? Thx
  18. Thanks for all the recommendations. We went to Simon Turgoose at The Vale and we've really noticed the difference.
  19. We've stayed at Mocketts Farm Cottages on Isle of Sheppy. There are a few cottages renovated from an old barn, sleeping up to 30. We had the 6 bedroom unit, all with ensuites and a big living area and the owners even helped to arrange evening meals to be delivered from the local pub for a very reasonable price. I'd definitely recommend it for a big group.
  20. My new little one is very difficult to wind and has a painful belly a lot of the time so I'd like to take her to a 'cranial' paediatric osteopath locally. Can anyone recommend someone? When my son was young we went to the OCC in Wandsworth for cranial osteopathy to help with his wind and difficulty in settling. We really think it worked (so no need for naysayers to try to convince me otherwise). But logistics are more difficult this time, hence us looking locally.
  21. Hi all. I hope those with new babies are doing well and those waiting aren't struggling with impatience or discomfort too much! Sienna arrived on Tuesday morning surprising us all as we were convinced she'd be a boy. She is absolutely scrummy - we're all in love, especially her big brother. I'd forgotten what newborns were like, my god can she feed, I feel like a full time cow! I'm looking forward to catching up soon, but I think recovery will take a longer this time. Good luck & looking forward to hearing of more arrivals soon. Jo
  22. More baby news... After finally going in for my induction last night, with just a little drama, I had our little girl, Sienna in the middle of the night. She's gorgeous and we're all smitten with her. Max is especially proud of 'his' baby. I'd keep eating those dates girls, my 8 hour labour might not be as short as others, but it beats the 45 hours I had last time! Looking forward to catching up when I've recovered. Jo, Max & Sienna
  23. Oh Sally, how rubbish. Poor little Hannah. Hope she's on the road to recovery now. Congrats Annabelle! Great to hear Benjamin is excited with the new arrival. How funny that we have another nameless one! I worry that we'll be in the same situation, the way our conversations are going! The second sweep didn't go well - did you know things can actually regress between sweeps? Well they can, and I'm certainly no closer than I was on my first sweep on Wednesday, worse even! Arrrgghh! Good luck for a birth or 2 over the weekend!
  24. Also still pregnant, but off for another sweep in the afternoon so I won't be able to meet. Will probably be going to All in One on the morning though. Jo x
