Apparently the most popular boys and girls names for newborns this year are Oliver & Amelia.

Apparently (as I would rather cheesegrate my own eyeballs than watch it to confirm) two of the 'best' performers on the most recent x-factor were called Oliver & Amelia.

I was genuinely proud to be British for a couple of weeks- but it doesn't take much to remind you what's really important to the people of this country.
