As I was leaving the park after my run a couple were just entering and made way for me in the small pedestrian entrance.set me thinking - why not have in / out entrances ? Was pondering about this while running next day - running is boring so good time to think about problem solving Was wondering how a one way system could be instigated. On leaving the park I noticed - the two pedestrian entrances either side of closed main gate are labelled IN and other OUT

problem solved - can we stick to this from now on ?

Lived near the gates for a while and never noticed the in / out labels - do older residents remember them ever being enforced ?

One consideration that has not so far been mentioned is wind direction. If you are following someone who is say 2 metres in front and there is a head wind then you are going to get a steady stream of exhaled breath from the person in front. It's not do much an issue in an open space like a park but on a pavement the wind is channelled by the buildings so that it usually blows in parallel to the pavement.

    • Another recommendation for Adam on the Dartmouth Road. Have been going there for years. I will never go anywhere else (unless I move home to somewhere far away!) No faff, very reasonal price and nice atmosphere 👍
    • Thanks so much I’ll try that too… might still try getting hold of an air purifier as well if at all possible - want to try cover all bases!
    • The 185 is often the same. But that's why buses sometimes (and annoyingly) stop to "regulate the service". To be fair, it's often due to traffic conditions. If there is not much traffic, the one behind catches up with the one in front.
    • I imagine this is because of the average  additional time involved, due to the styles. You could have asked the reason? I will ask, next time I'm in there.  Many salons have this differential pricing.
