Not sure if this has been seen by everyone, but looking at the queue for the Local Sainsbury?s on LL, I don?t think so.

Several couples, families with kids (older/younger) some getting out of cars queueing to get in the store where then it is chaos. (This shop is badly set up for any social distancing) The staff are not enforcing this either. They have plenty to deal with imo. So, please couples, families, consider how you are endangering others and your own family by ignoring this advice. Obviously if disabled/child can?t be left at home with other adult, buy please limit your trips to this shop and other smaller local shops. The more movement in the public, the greater probability of the virus sticks around longer and more dead every day. It was nearly a 1000 today in hospitals and probably more in the community.

I'm surprised there were couples and families with children.

I had an email days ago from Sainsburys detailing that they would only let one adult in to do the shop.

I've not been at the Sainsburys at Dog Kennel Hill for 10 days but getting low on bits so thought I'd see how it went.

Got there around 10.30 this morning and joined the queue outside on Dog Kennel Hill. As far as I could see in front of me were only lone people, on their own. So from Dog Kennel Hill and actually entering the store it took around 25 minutes of waiting in line. All very civil and I had to nudge the guy in front of me by saying 'excuse me' as he was on his phone all the time.

The store was well stocked, although the cleaning aisle was very sparse and I couldn't get what I've usually bought in the past.

I left the store around 11.30 and was happy with my experience with Sainsburys and all the staff.

I've found the lone adult rule helps in speeding up the queue. I went at 2.40pm, had to queue in Edgar Kail Way, but was allowed in 25 mins later.

Fortunately the nice weather doesn't make queuing that much of a chore and people are keeping more than a 2m distance, especially in the car park.

I was able to get cleaning products for the first time in ages today, but the tinned food is still sparse and and there is some pasta. Not much mind, but better than recently.

I was so upset by this store that, after consideration, I complained about the situation. Emphasising the staff need to stay safe too.

And yes, a woman with 3 kids took 2 of them in with her. (they were all old enough to wait outside)

Wouldn't touch this place with a bargepole now.

This is still happening and for clarification this isn?t the DKH Superstore. This the Local Sainsbury near the library on LL. I am glad you complained as well. I mentioned it to staff and they seemed resigned to the public not listening. There is tape everywhere, but no one stays in the boxes till an aisle is clear. I agree though, avoid if you can.

This video is a good illustration of how pathogens get airborne in aisles https://whdh.com/coronavirus/3d-simulation-shows-how-a-single-cough-can-spread-coronavirus-through-a-grocery-store/

I did DKH on Thursday and it's much more civilised now it's one person at a time. The queue was out on to Dog Kennel Hill but took about 25 mins and once inside (give or take the odd person who STILL doesn't have a clue about social distancing)it was an easy experience. Yes, they don't have everything but got most pf what we needed. All praise to the shopworkers.
Well that is good to hear Pugwash. Will try again if it looks like they have sorted it out at the Local Sainsbury?s. seems like some families or people have also fled Dulwich this weekend. Less families and in general people around today? Maybe folks have realised we aren?t getting out of this anytime soon and left the city if they can?

    • Hi all, Wondering if anyone else in/around SE22 is also having the unfortunate luck of having Evri parcels delivered by a very rude individual? Whenever we have parcels delivered, our front gate is being slammed open and closed, ring doorbell is harshly banged (not pressed) followed by simultaneously banging on the door knocker and slamming the letter box multiple times. Someone is normally home by the time they come in the evening and never has to wait long for an answer. If we’re not home, we speak to them on the doorbell so we do find the actions of this individual unreasonable and rude.  We have tried a couple of times politely asking that they not do this but they are very dismissive and gives a passive-aggressive “have a nice day” reply.  Has anyone been able to contact Evri and successfully had any issues similar to this resolved? We have enough evidence through our doorbell footage but we are lost with what else we can do. We’ve tried asking politely but don’t want our gate or door damaged by someone who simply doesn’t care and lacks basic manners.    If anyone else is having this issue or has any advice on how we can report this, it would be much appreciated. After another dismissive reply to my concern this afternoon, I will be calling Evri tomorrow to raise a complaint. I have lost my patience with them
    • Corbyn was unelectable - he got trashed by Boris who was a buffoon. It was a good job too because I would have hated to see Corbyn and his rag-tag bunch of far-left university politics backbenchers try to lead the country through Covid.  It is completely understandable why Starmer and the Labour Party want to purge Momentum from within their ranks and Cllr McAsh has fallen victim of that.
