so how can I go to a pub and avoid other people.

there would be nowhere for me or anyone else to sit inside.

What is the point of sitting on my own.

I can do that at home and a lot cheaper.

I have always gone to the pub in the past to socialise.

Not just to get bladdered and stagger home.

This is why I haven't bothered since March - much easier to buy beer online for the same result.

It does feel isolated though - and you begin to notice the parties going on :).

Crazy Uncle Donald still supports QAnon it seems. I still see them on facebook and twitter usually talking about saving children (which is what they talk about now)

?I don?t get that. You?re the president, not someone?s crazy uncle.?

Thanks, a friend pointed me to the Daily Mail guidelines, which are useful (luckily as I would never have come across them otherwise :)) )

Does that mean sex is legal if OUTside (for "Tier 2 couples living apart") ?

Taking my name in vain Diable

Although these days with all the road restrictions by time you drive to a car park you are too tired for anything else

    • Is Dell Autos closing down completely or just moving? For whatever it's worth, for MOTs I've had good recent experience with The Test Centre in Deptford. They only do MOTs so they don't have any particular incentive to fail you and they usually have same day appointments. Open 7 days a week and late. https://www.thetestcentre.co.uk/our-test-centres/deptford-branch/ Obviously you would still need a "normal" garage to do servicing and repairs etc.
    • So what is the issue? You want compensation for the loss of value, or you want to expedite the matter?
    • No. What happened? I actually thought, considering it was what we used to call Guy Fawkes Day last night, the loud noises from  fireworks ended remarkably early. About 9pm? Maybe I just fell asleep and didn't hear any later ones. Do people actually burn Guys any more? Apart from at places like Lewes, where I believe they still have Bonfire Societies and burn effigies of various political figures etc.
    • The accompaniment to our "Christmas Pudding" aka Nothing-Whatever-Like-A- Christmas-Pudding last year  at The Cherry Tree was "brandy butter ice-cream." If it had ever been near any brandy, the brandy must have been waved in its direction from a very great distance. Same with butter. The ice cream tasted like bog standard "vanilla" from a catering tub. At least it did bear some resemblance to ice cream. Whereas the "Christmas Pudding" bore no resemblance whatever to any Christmas Pudding I have ever seen or tasted in my many  decades of seeing and tasting Christmas Puddings. Oh, and Cinzano Bianco. Bleurgh. My sister used to drink that. 🤢
