I feel very stupid for asking this given that I was born, brought up, schooled, married within Dulwich all my life- SE22 forever!. Now that I have got my own I guess its time to think about schools- what's the best and what to avoid??

I went to Bessemmer Grange but that is too far for me ( I live on Crystal Palace Rd) so I guess its either Goodrich or Heber?

You've picked a good time to have children in East Dulwich: lots of good schools and I'm sure you'll find lots of people

who have children at Heber or Goodrich who will sing their praises (as well as the other local schools. My daughter left

Heber a couple of years ago and we were impressed - nice staff, children and parents.

Lots of threads on the point. Depends where on CPR you live as to where you are likely to go. Most ED schools get good results and have a Good ofsted, nowhere to "avoid" and the popularity of individual schools wax and wane, different schools have different vibes so v.personal go and have a look for yourself, I expect that your old school has changed a lot and that would be an interesting trip!

I just dropped my son off at Bessemer to start in year 1, SOOOO impressed by it. The class was lovely bright and spacious, with an outdoor player area attached and the views! amazing....I am soo pleased with the school so far, and yes, people come from as far as West Norwood, so don't be put off if its for this reason. It's a great school.

    • It didn't occur to me to ask. No idea if dieticians are employed within the NHS. It is just one line of enquiry among others. The GP mentioned it, not me.
    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
