Bike repairs and servicing including local pickup and drop off

Recommended Posts

I offer local bike repairs and servicing. I can manage all work from basic repairs to a full rebuild. I specialise in bringing dead bikes back to life, and have a small workshop in Peckham. I have some availability in the next couple of weeks if anybody needs anything done. Reasonable rates. I am enthusiastic, good at what I do, and will care for your bike.

Best to text or call and a photo by whatsapp is the best way of showing me what you need and I can quote before doing any work. I can collect and drop off from East Dulwich, Nunhead and Peckham if needs be.

Thank you SO much for collecting the bike from my mum, and returning it as good as new and fully repaired. The service was excellent and they are very pleased and said you were lovely to boot. Highly recommended. Thank you.

I have availability this week for repairs, servicing, minor jobs or a full rebuild. All bikes welcome - I love city bikes and Dutch bikes and generally have a few for sale if anybody is looking.

Cheers,

Charlie did a great job fixing the gear cable on my daughter?s frog bike. He was quick to respond, very efficient and charged a reasonable price. Having lost Paul on Bellenden Rd, it?s great to have a dependable local bike repair option again.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm available but not a regular user of this forum so if anybody needs me please text me, and if you have a bike that needs work pls whatsapp me a pic so I know whats what.

Used Charlie to sort out the brakes and do a light service on my trusted bike. He collected and dropped off on same day, and cost me less than going to one of the local bike shops (who I also find usually turn up their noses at my old fashioned bike!) Would definitely recommend to anyone else who needs some work done on their bike!

Another recommendation for Charlie. I took my Dutchie bike; I had not used it for over 5 years as I couldn't get it to work. The gears were not changing, brakes were squeaking loudly. He fixed it without any fuss.

Brilliant service, thanks. Will definitely be back.

Morning all. Spring is round the corner and I am available for same day servicing and repairs. I do electric bike conversions, service and repair cargo bikes, and I love bringing old bikes back to life. Reasonable prices and quick turnaround...

Charlie was recommended to me by a friend and has done a fantastic job servicing our cargo bike including changing spokes and an inner tube on an unusual sized, half covered fiddly wheel, fixing the brakes and sorting a slipping gear. Really great, friendly and fast service.

Another recommendation for Charlie - with huge thanks for getting me back on the road within 24 hours. My front brake connector failed entirely and it somehow loosened the back brake to a dangerous degree - Charlie fitted me in at short notice, fixed the brakes, also straightened a couple of spokes and trued the wheels so the bike is running smoother than it has done in a while.

    • Yiddish is written in Hebrew script, traditionally, so any attempt to use 'Roman' script will be transliteration, as noted. Hebrew script does not have vowels as such, so any vowels used will try to copy the Yiddish sound of the word. Bagel and Beigel are both correct transliterations of the Yiddish word.
    • Have they still not fixed it? that's pretty shabby. I took this picture on New Year's Day and it's been like this at least since before Xmas.
    • To be fair, if I saw you eating any of the parcels I'd have walked out. I noticed last night that the illuminated sign now describes this place as the POT OFFICE. Presumably THC vapes are more profitable than being a drop-off point for bloody Evri
    • Housebuilding isn't that profitable and housebuilders don't have social responsibilities. The affordable housing component is just a tax on new builds. It's a total failure by government - a fantasy belief that the private sector is going to solve the state's social housing crisis for free. It's like expecting Tesco to solve child humgrr by giving away a percentage of its products. It's not gonna work - it just slows down and disincentivises private sector construction of new housing. The only solution to the housing crisis is a massive increase in the supply of housing, not a couple of "affordable" flats in a new development. The state needs to solve the problem of NIMBYs (one of whom is prominent on this thread), get out of the way of private sector developers building private rentals and homes for sale, and borrow to build a huge amount of social housing.
