Highly recommended: Acadia Home & Gardens

We've just had a new shed and garden side gate built and installed by local business Acadia Home & Gardens. Can't recommend these guys (Patrick, Phillip & Darcy) highly enough ? good workmanship, and so quick and professional. They have in previous years replaced our garden fencing and did a complete remodel and refit on our bathroom. It's because these jobs have stood the test of time and still look great years later that we keep going back to them. Proper skilled trades people. See their website at: Acadia-homes-gardens.co.uk
Acadia redid the front exterior of our house last September and did a fantastic job. This included excavating the existing concrete in the front garden and laying new tiles. They also rubbed down all front fascias, rebuilt the crumbling masonry sills and basically left the house gleaming. All costs were broken down for us in advance and they communicated brilliantly throughout the process (we'd had a bad previous experience so had lots of questions). Also really appreciated their common sense approach - another builder insisted we get the brickwork acid cleaned which would have been costly, but Acadia told us focusing on the masonry would make a greater impact. They were right!

    • What is it that makes Waitrose so special! Admittedly I have shopped a couple of times in the Orpington and Beckenham one - sometimes buying food which I cannot get else where. Their 'basic range' is not bad. Price for price and quality - M & S.
    • Sometimes a shed or other installation has to have written approval from the freeholder i.e. Southwark, Southwark has (or did have) a Leaseholder Association.   Could also come under Anti Social Behaviour Unit.
    • Love Dulwich is great but has a large step in front. We have only been weekdays at Lunch time. Maria's next to Picture House is disabled friendly. Also can reserve table in advance. We did a Sunday lunch catch up with family - there were 8 of us.
    • Hi, Thinking about  going with some friends and was just wondering if folk might like to report back please. Most importantly sound level when busy & is it disabled friendly.  Thinking on a Sunday lunchtime but don’t want a busy busy environment or loud chatter - a couple of friends could not cope. Time can be flexible, if that helps - say 2 ish to avoid above.. Thanks…
