There seems to be a house party or rally going on somewhere on CPR? Hearing party chants and screeching since 8pm. Called council noise pollution team and 101. Both said that can?t do anything. Can someone on Landells or CPR see if it is a street party and call 101? I can?t leave the house to see what is going on. 101 said they won?t come out to disperse unless it is in the street.

I don?t think this is the first weekend this has happened.

it went till SO late. i got woken up at 4am by people seemingly leaving the party shouting and some falling over. i am surprised the police didn't get involved. i could not tell where exactly it was coming from that's why i didn't call them. surely it's not right though....
I don?t know what else to do? Woke up to some silence but, now I?m hearing loud music blaring from the same general direction. I was hoping since it was raining today that it would quieter. Someone mentioned there was loud music towards a Harris Boys School, but maybe there were multiple parties last night? Definitely can here some loud music now that seems closer. I don?t get why you would inflict your music choices on others. Does anyone now if the Dulwich Hill SNT team is able to do anything or how to get in touch with them?

It happens every weekend it seems. Most evenings it is not as loud and we keep our windows closed, but with the heat that gets harder to do. Last night was by far the loudest.

Not sure if this is the next option besides the council noise pollution team or 101, but on the COVID thread here I found the contact details for :

Inspector Tom Cornish | Neighbourhood Policing | Southwark | AS BCU | Peckham Police Station, 177 Peckham High Street, London, SE15 5SL tel: 0207 232 6495 | internal: 726495 mobile: TBA Twitter: @InspTomCornish

Will be getting in touch if this happens again. Seems like it might be an unlicensed music event (UME) that is Mentioned in one of the briefings.

Music seems to have shut down now, but I guess if more people do complain the next time it happens maybe the local team can do something? Enforcement of any laws seems to be an issue with the police right now.

Besides the noise issue, the virus is still circulating in the community. As far as I know, you aren?t supposed to have more than six people over, if this kind of event is taking place locally then it is not just a nuisance, but also placing others in the local community at risk. Hoping we get a typical English summer with lots of rain to deter people from these sort of back garden gigs.

So distressing when so loud and all night to.

We had this in Lewisham Borough in peak covid.

Police came for past 1am and also came break up large gathering if could prove def which hole number amount people over 6.

But now they can't because so many illegal Street raves they getting called to more serious things which is understandable.

So only if threat life drugs or huge gathering if free can come. Often not sad as dealing covid increasingly thefts burglaries etc.

Council herealso won't come out. I mea surely could wear visor mask aswell

    • I don't think I've ever seen it used other than for gluing advertising on it. It's definitely not a priority but these things typically get ignored and become part of the furniture (so to speak).  There is a beautiful old red box near Upland Rd. I miss old red boxes... 😞 Anyway I'll have a dig around and see if anything can be done.
    • £30-40 for M&S Christmas food for two seems very low! And only £60 for food and drink for 8-10 people?  We have had M&S food at Christmas in the past, and it came to a lot more than that. I suppose it depends exactly what you are buying. We left it late to book a Christmas Day meal out last year, so there weren't many options left.  The Cherry Tree menu looked very nice. That was our first mistake. We also overlooked the fact that it was a Young's pub, with all that implies about the food. That was our second mistake. We don't have shedloads of money. We  took the view that we deserved a nice meal  out after working bloody hard all year. So it was doubly disappointing to basically waste a lot of money which could have been very much better  spent elsewhere.
    • No sweetheart. It is a fantastic sermon which should be shared. It is a rights-based sermon which received a standing ovation - if you can be bothered to get to the end.
    • Welcome back. What have voting intentions got to do with this thread? And much as you may hate the present incarnation of so-called Labour, as do I,  I don't think it is true that they have "not done a single positive thing for working class people", is it? And how exactly are you defining "working class people", anyway?
