Quite funny but also vandalism 😢

Is it vandalism? I passed by when the original with the exception of HM?s head had been painted over to match the background which I guess was the first stage. Could have been done with the wall?s owner?s permission? Art evolves

Thank you, I hadn?t seen what it looked like now. Perhaps when I saw it just painted over it was to cover up some earlier tagging.

I live right near this and can clarify that it was painted over by the resident, as someone had put a great ugly tag on top of it. As soon as my neighbour had painted over this, kindly leaving the untouched royal head, more graffiti was put on top. It seems really mindless to cover street art with uncreative graffiti. The stick body made me laugh but there are more ugly initials there now.

Really angry about this. Noticed some idiot had tagged all over it the other week. All the blank walls to choose from and they go and do that. Hope it'll be recreated

But I wish they'd done it to that Virgin and child. Any alteration would be an improvement

I heard the artist does plan to return with the stencil to recreate it.

I didn't think much of this wall art to begin with. I'd prefer to see more by Atila... or the artist who did the Kingfisher!
