Renata Hamvas
Southwark only have on-line applications this year and the booklets are avaialble on-line too. You need to apply in the LA you live in, the closing date is January. It is a pan-London system, so if you live near a borough boundary you may find your closest schools are in a neighbouring borough, you use the same form for all.It is advised to find 6 schools and put them down in your order of preference.Renata Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25871-primary-school-applications/#findComment-580299 Share on other sites

etta166
Catchment areas don't exist any more. The LA has a fixed set of entrance criteria (distance from the school is one of them) and some schools set their own entrance criteria. The Southwark website will tell you the maximum distance from the school that any pupil who started last year lived (but this could be a sibling) or you can contact the school office with a specific question about admissions to that school.I've found all the school offices that I have been in touch with are very helpful. Renata Hamvas
Hi Etta166, the last place offered distance does not include siblings, siblings are in a different priority category. As families may move between child 1 and 2 say, this woould lead to an inflated last place offered distance,RenT Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25871-primary-school-applications/#findComment-580411 Share on other sites
LondonMix
Here is the link as promised. Download the document "Starting Primary Schools in Soutwark". All very useful as it tells you if there was a bulge class, how many siblings got places etc. This information is on page 18 of the file for community schools.http://www.southwark.gov.uk/downloads/download/2483/primary_school_admissions Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25871-primary-school-applications/#findComment-580497 Share on other sites
