Anyone watching Lilyhammer?

Me and Mrs Otta are loving this, Steven Van Zandt A.K.A Syl from The Sopranos is great in this fish out of water comedy, his facial expressions are genius.

I've watched the first episode but not had time to watch the second. I'm not sure about it yet although it did have its moments.

Am loving it. It is unusually and delightfully off the wall and I find myself curiously attracted to Van Zandt, who ain't exactly a pin-up boy as you can see below :-o

Loved the backwards facing ski-jump as a punishment too - genius!

It is marvellous.

Reminds me a little of Northern Exposure, a much missed series set in Alaska from about 10 years ago. Looking back Northern Exposure was before its time, it ended up being programmed late in the evening as the schedulers had no idea what it was or what to do with it.

Nowadays it would be on BBC4 or similar and be going strong.

Anyway, Lillyhammer - bit thumbs up.

Know exactly what you mean about it's similarities to Northern Exposure, although I quickly lost track of that when they put it on very late. It was well over 10 years ago though, it ran from 1990 - 95 (according to Wiki), I was definitely in my teens.

Love it! Lilyhammer that is. My husband has just downloaded every episode of Northern Exposure :/ I liked it but won't bother watching it again ;)
