Hi all, just to let you know my appointments are filling up fast for Christmas, so if you want to get your hair done give me a call and we'll get you booked in! I'll be doing home visits until December 23rd, then I'll be off until December 30th. I'm available for home visits on New Years Eve and New Years Day.

Hope you all have a great Christmas and best wishes for 2013!!

Hi all, just a quick note to say that I'm now working in a salon on Rye Lane in Peckham, I realise many of you prefer a home visit but it's a new salon so any time you're passing, pop in and say hi I'd love the support!

I'll be at Esteem Hair, 217 Rye Lane, on Mondays 12-7, Wednesdays 10-4 and Thursdays 11-5 (so you should be fine to schedule your kids' after school cuts in!)

Look forward to seeing you!

    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
    • There's a food bank off Dog Kennel Hill. Albrighton Community Fridge. https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ I'm sure they would welcome them, but maybe check first, as they don't actually mention fresh fruit on their website? But apples aren't that perishable. Drop off seven days a week 9 - 5. Be warned if you are going by car, parking can be very difficult, easiest if there are two of you so one person can take the food in while the other can move the car if necessary.
    • Food banks for sure and what about approaching these schools in area that run summer camps - although having said that with health and safety being so strict might not allow it - crazy really.    Can’t remember name of church but was one in Peckham that from memory did a community meal a couple of times a week. Now they for sure would take them and probably Kingswood House as well.
