Photos are from Thurs near Ondine Rd. Pugwash
Thursday 17th - nobody could get up Dog Kennel Hill due to an accident, so all traffic was diverted via ED Grove/ Redpost Hill/Sunray Avenue Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/260487-more-permeable-barriers/page/7/#findComment-1452868 Share on other sites
Ginster
first mate Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> The ambulance is past the red light but still> being held up.Thanks First mate, saved me typing, the lights were irrelevant here. Traffic was to station and to roundabout. It isn't like that all the time but much more often since planters. Also what's with all the multi coloured paint on road by planters, looks like all about to be dug up or changed again? first mate
Yes, the planters have had a major, negative impact on traffic on main routes and if this is now also hindering emergency services that is very worrying. Rockets
And still we hear nothing from the council. This is what happened at Loughborough Junction, council ignored the feedback from residents on what was going on and then had to wait until the emergency services told them their road closures were endangering lives (well they ignored them to begin with until the local MP intervened at the behest of the ambulance services).Southwark and our local councillors seem to have their heads in the sand too, hoping the problem evaporates.... I would also be very keen to understand the knock on impact on bus travel times. Presumably this is something that TFL monitor.
