Possibly too far for you, but we've done a couple of fabulous family walks up Box Hill - http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/box-hill/ - gorgeous views and easy routes from the car park at the top. There are plenty of other nice places for a walk around the Surrey Hills - http://www.surreyhills.org/.

Or closer to home Morden Hall Park is nice - less rural / views of course, but close and easy.

Hope the weather is kind to you!

And check out the list of National Trust places in Surrey and the SE.

I haven't been but people rave about the Pinetum at Bedgebury. The deer park around Knole is lovely, and you can access the park and grounds without paying to go into the house.

Foots Cray Meadow is lovely too - out towards Sidcup. Big grassy area, water to paddle in, widening to lake with water fowl & bridge over it. Plenty of trees etc along river bank @ also a small woodland area.

Picnic benches & at far end of river at one end a childrens play area (tricky to spot but it is there).

You can walk along one side of the river then cross & walk back up the other side.

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
