student maintenance loan

If you have a son/daughter at uni ( not in London ) do you know what the loan amount is for this term? there is some confusion as to the sum of ?1,089- sounds a bit low to me- anyone else know?

yes sounds a bit low, according to the relevant website, they are

The maximum yearly Maintenance Loan available for students starting university in 2012/13 is:

?4,735 if you?re living at home

?5,500 if you?re living away from home but outside London

?7,675 if you?re living away from home in London

I think the loan element increases or decreases dependent on any 'grant' entitlement there might be. My son's loan is ?1020 this term but he also gets a grant based on my income in a particularly 'poor' year which happened after redundancy.

yes I'be seen the total its the split that seems low.the first term is the most expensive all those books.....
