I?d like to recommend Steve Evans of S Evans Roofing (07810 202130 or [email protected]). He is local to the area and recently completed a flat roof investigation and fix for me. I found Steve via CheckaTrade, where he has very positive feedback. I use the ED Forum to find good local tradespeople so wanted to recommend Steve here. Steve was looking into a tricky slow leak from a balcony which sits above a flat roof structure. I?d been quoted significant amounts by 2 builders to take up the flagstones and insulation of the balcony structure - with one telling me the answer was a full new roof. Steve undertook a more local/appropriate investigation of the area above the leak and talked me through his findings so that I could follow his thinking. The issue was nothing to do with the flat roof asphalt, which was intact and in good condition. What was actually needed was to improve the flow of water through the side gutter to stop it backing up and working its way under the lead fold. Steve put in place a sensible fix to do just that at a fraction of the cost quoted by my builders. He?s a nice guy, comes when he says he will and is clearly knowledgeable. I approached Steve Evans based on this recommendation - our issue was also related to a flat roof - and I thought he was thoroughly decent.
