Boots normally offer them, but unprecedented take-up (can't think why) has led to shortages and suspension of their service. I suspect if you wait a bit they will become available again. Anyone in a vulnerable (age/ underlying condition/ caring responsibility) category should have been offered one through the NHS.
Flu jabs can lose their efficacy over time, so having them in November (before the hardest hitting time) coukd actually be a benefit. Social distancing and masks are likely to keep down infection rates anyway. Superdrug has a booking facility for the branches offering vaccinations. Streatham is nearest. Good luck

However, they also take 1-2 weeks to become fully effective - so you do need to get the timing right. 'December to March' is seen as the season, although it can start as early as October.https://www.bupa.co.uk/health-information/childrens-health/flu#:~:text=Seasonal%20flu%20(influenza)%20is%20an,and%20as%20late%20as%20May.

However it is to be hoped that mask wearing, social distancing and hand washing may reduce the incidence - so it's an ill wind...

There's a private clinic in herne Hill but they have a waiting list and don't have stock until November. I've booked my 15 year old appointment at Tescos Surrey quays nearest one offering 12-15 years flu jabs costs ?9, pounds and you have to book online, waiting list is now 3 weeks

    • Changing subject, slightly.. what is taking over from what was cheese shop.. ? Next to other parade of shops.. which is on Dulwich Parade .. near bookshop, estate agent and closed for failing health and safety.. fined as well.. please god, not another place selling food.. opposite Court Lane..
    • what type of car was it, if they are in demand, might be helpful info.
    • Which has, unfortunately, closed. Au Ciel is much better than Gail's. Big bakery in the parade of shops near Rocca in Dulwich Village with all the seats outside - you can't miss it. Normally a big queue outside at weekends with walkers and cyclists topping up on carbs and coffee!
    • Hi, just to say there was an attempted car theft at the FH end of Underhill over Friday night. Without wanting to go into all the detail, they were pretty adamant and took a great deal of time to (try) take the car. The police came within minutes, and drove around etc.. The police said the car was in demand at the moment. I don’t know if that was brand or model. notwithstanding what the police said, all car owners should be vigilant and neighbours. These thieves were interrupted twice by neighbours, but the thieves came back etc and the neighbours didn’t put 2+2 together as to what was happening to the car. The thieves were two guys, on the cctv it looked like they were wearing grey, but it may have been black (cctv can look odd at night). My neighbours said they were black. They had a bag with them, no doubt carrying tools and they may have been dropped off by a car, that is being investigated.  Take care!!
