poppet27
Hello,Any interior types that can help? I have just painted my living room in Little Greene's French grey and disappointed in how lilac it looks. Yes, I did use a match pot and was obsessive about which colour to go for. If you Google images this colour, you'll see what I was aiming for.Anyway, could anyone advise which colour accessories to go for to counteract the blue- lilac tones? Thanks. MrBen
I would repaint the room to the colour you want. And next time paint one wall first and use the real stuff rather than go for a colour match. Lilac doesn't sound very grey to me! Jeremy
I can't believe anything could ever be so bad that it would be improved with the addition of Kula Shaker. As Mr Ben says, repaint it. Another weekend down the drain, but worth it in the long run. You'll never be happy with it if it isn't what you want now, however you try to accessorize it.ETA: Sadly though, you may not be able to get the absolute exact colour you want. I had a particular shade in mind, couldn't get a match at all and ended up with my default position of white :( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/26547-interior-decorating-how-to-counteract-blue-tones/#findComment-590112 Share on other sites
DulwichFox
Also bear in mind a second coat may be required. 'Bleed Through' from original colour (even if White) will affect the tone. Try a small area to see if things imprpove. Fox. p.s. Colour will be different when fully dry.
